Born in 1935 in the city of Hamedan, Iran, the Ayatollah moved to Qom at the age of 7 to commence his Islamic studies. In the holy city of Qom, he benefited from several grand mentors and Ayatollahs, including Ayatollah Khomeini, to master in Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and ethics. The Ayatollah has now been teaching superior levels of Islamic jurisprudence for over 30 years. After the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the Ayatollah was appointed as the special ambassador of Ayatollah Khomeini to Europe.
